Public Transit / Human Services Coordinated Plan

In 2008, the KCTA Board, in conjunction with Kalamazoo Metro Transit and numerous human service organizations in the Kalamazoo community, came together to determine the transportation needs of seniors, individuals with disabilities and people on low incomes.

After a year of analysis and discussions, a report was produced that listed the prioritized transportation needs of these population groups. The Public Transit Human Services (PTHS) Coordinated Plan was completed in 2009 and submitted to the Michigan Department of Transportation and Federal Transportation Administration. This document will serve as a guide for future service development.
